About Me
Hello! My name is Russ. I am an artist and outdoorsmen located in Bozeman, Montana. When I’m not at the studio making art you can probably find me biking trails, rafting rivers, trail running with my dog Mila, shooting my bow, looking for animals, out camping in the backcountry or skiing fresh powder. My work aims to capture these experiences through painting and drawing.
I have been practicing art my entire life, influenced from my Grandpa who’s a photographer and my dad who’s a craftsman. Over the past I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Creighton University and my Master of Fine Arts degree from Montana State University. I currently teach at Montana State University and the Emerson Art Center in Bozeman, Montana.
Russ’s work has been acquired into the collection of Montana State University and the private collection of Bridger Aerospace.
