About Me

Hello! My name is Russ. I am an artist and outdoorsmen located in Bozeman, Montana. When I’m not at the studio making art you can probably find me biking trails, rafting rivers, trail running with my dog Mila, shooting my bow, looking for animals, out camping in the backcountry or skiing fresh powder. My work aims to capture these experiences through painting and drawing.

I have been practicing art my entire life, influenced from my Grandpa who’s a photographer and my dad who’s a craftsmen. Over the past eight years, I have pursued art professionally, now working on large scale oil paintings. I received my BFA from Creighton University and my MFA from Montana State University. I currently teach Drawing and Foundational Design classes at Montana State University.
